SAMMIE THE SNORKIE-BBQ CHICKEN

Hello Everyone

If you are like me and love to BBQ chicken and filets on the grill then you will enjoy this story.

There is nothing like the smell of charcoal,BBQ sauce and steak cooking on the grill. Sammie's nose was up in the air enjoying what she was smelling. :-) 

She was prancing around, tail wagging, wanting so much to sink her teeth into that piece of meat.

My neighbor had asked if we wouldn't mind putting a filet he had in his fridge on our grill to BBQ since he didn't have one. Of course I said yes and he went back to go retrieve the filet. 

When I saw the size of the filet I almost fell over. What he paid for it was the down payment I paid on my first house!  Sammie caught sight of it and I am sure she thought she died and went to heaven.

The steak took forever to cook but boy when it was done it looked and smelled marvelous. The neighbor hurried over when I told him it was ready, bringing his side dishes and appetite. He took it off the grill with the huge grill fork and held it up for all to see. In the corner of my eye I saw Sammie coming up to the side of him and before I could say "No Sammie!", she jumped higher than any dog I have ever seen in my entire life and grabbed that steak right out of his hand! I don't know who was more surprised, Sammie or the neighbor.

I apologized for Sammie's behavior and offered to replace the filet. To my surprise, the neighbor took me up on my offer. So now. if you will excuse me, I have to take out a second mortgage on my home and head out to the meat department at my grocery store.....
