Hello Everyone

Remember the blog I wrote around Thanksgiving about Sammie stealing a frozen turkey?
Well Sam has carried on this 'stealing' tradition into the Chrismas season.
We put up our tree, carefully hanging each ornament and placing it on each tree branch. We have lots and lots to hang up. Some of these ornaments go back to when my husband and I were kids and some are from my kids when they were growing up as well. Each one holding it's own special memory.
Enter Sammie.....now you already know how much she likes to take socks, underware etc out the door and into the backyard....
My neighbor calls me up and asked why I was decorating my backyard the way I was. I told her I didn't know what the heck she was talking about because the only Christmas decoration I put up, besides the tree, was a wreath at the front door. She said I guess you need to look out at your back yard.
I didn't have a good feeling when I hung up the phone knowing what Sammie is capable of, so I made the hubby look. lol
Apparently, Sammie the Snorkie has been taking ornaments off the tree, bringing them outside and laying them all over the yard. Thankfully, we had hung the really old ornaments and the special ones high up on the tree where Sammie couldn't reach. But she did take off 12 (12 days of Christmas, coincidence?) ornaments off of the bottom half of the tree and placed them all around the yard. Not one of them were broke but all were scattered everywhere. We picked them all up, brought them in and hung each one back up on the tree. Next morning all 12 ornaments were all out on the grass again.
I'm thinking that if Sam could have fit the tree through her pet door that would have been outside as well.
Maybe Sammie thought the back needed some Christmas decorations like the rest of the house. . .
We have decided to leave the ornaments where Sam placed them in the yard for the rest of the Christmas season. It looks kind of cute and makes Sammie happy. After all, isn't that what Christmas is all about .................
