SAMMIE THE SNORKIE-EATING GRASS

Hello All

Picture this, a beautiful South Carolina morning, sun shinning, birds chirping and me admiring my lawn after spending all yesterday afternoon mowing and trimming. Sitting down soaking it all in and watching Sammie eating grass, what? why? But wait, what is that awful retched sound...sounds like Sammie the Snorkie..she's throwing up! 

I've heard of dogs eating grass when they have an upset stomach so I guess poor Sammie's tummy is messed up today. 

My vet said that dogs will normally eat grass to build up bile in their gallbladder, still sounds disgusting for whatever reason. 

If your dog eats grass more than once a week, check their diet. Have you changed their food? Or they could even be lacking fiber.

Sometimes giving your dog smaller meals more frequently so their stomach has time to digest everything will help. 

Remember, always check with your vet just to be on the safe side.

And for all of you that have asked about Puddles The Poodle, I am happy to say that she is feeling much better today, ate about 3/4 of her dinner and even went outside with Sammie for a little walk around the yard.
