SAMMIE THE SNORKIE-EXCITEMENT IN THE TUB

Hello Everyone

Christmas season is upon us and we are still getting our fair share of overnight guests. Don't get me wrong, I love when they visit. It's just sometimes a little hard that some of them don't like dogs...in the house...we have 4.
The way I look at it, you are getting free room and board, the ocean is a few miles away......a small price to pay for a free visit to the beach.

Anyway, Uncle Pauly arrived at our doorstep a few nights ago, with a B. I. G. suitcase in his hand...so we knew this wasn't just a one night stay.

After some catching up with family gossip, Uncle Pauly said it was time to take a bath and go to bed. Said he was tired after a long stressful day of travel. Little did he know it was about to get a whole lot more stressful....
Now Sam, as you may recall from previous blogs, loves water and loves to watch his humans bathe. Her new thing is wanting a drink whenever anyone is taking a bath. She'll put her paws on the side of the tub and waits...and waits till you finally cup your hands and give her a drink. Sounds gross drinking someone's bath water I know. Dogs do icky things cause, well, cause they're dogs.

So Uncle Pauly is soaking in the tub and in walks Sammie. Uncle Pauly yells out to us that the dog has her paws on the tub. I told him she just wants a drink of water. Uncle Pauly can't hear very well and hadn't a clue as to what I said. Sammie the Snorkie got tired of waiting so she just bent her head into the tub and, well, she kind of put her nose too close to Uncle Pauly's family jewels. Uncle Pauly jumped out of the tub and I have to tell you bet   he's never run so fast in all of his 75 years on this earth. All he said as he blew past me was our dog didn't have any manners. He then yelled out what Sam had done in the tub and before I could explain, he had his bag packed, said a hasty good-bye and ran out the door never to be heard from again.

I don't believe Uncle Pauly will be spending  Christmas with us next year. . .
