Hello Everyone
A few days ago Sammie was in the backyard when she spotted the neighbor's dog on the other side of the fence gnawing on a huge bone. Huge as in Amphicoelias fragillimus huge.
Sammie laid by the fence watching and watching that dog chew on that big juicy bone. Finally the dog got bored and went into the house. You could almost hear the wheels turning in Sammie The Snorkie's head...'how can I get to that bone?'. Sam tried very hard to get the bone, but it was no use. The bone was inaccessible.
She become so frustrated that I think Sammie immediately declared the benefits of vegetarianism, and has ignored the bone to this day.
I have heard different stories whether or not feeding, every once in a while, a bone to your dog was okay. I know that chicken bones definitely are not safe, but the larger ones lets say, a ham bone, might be all right for a dog to have. I called the Vet and he said he would rather have Sammie chew pig ears than a bone. Wait a minute...pig ears???? omg
My 5 year old Grandson heard the conversation and started to cry thinking that there is a poor pig running around without any ears. Took 20 minutes and a MacDonalds Happy Meal to calm him down.
So off we went to WalMart and looked for the pig ears. There they were, on the shelf, in a bag....12 pig ears. And those suckers aren't cheap either!
